This week’s energies ask you to re-commit to yourself

If you’ve been following these messages throughout June, you’ll have noticed themes of personal freedom and reclamation of the self.

We are fresh into Cancer season with the Sun having left Gemini last Friday, June 21. We learn so much about how to relate to ourselves, to nurture our own identities and desires, with the spring season as the Sun moves through Aries, Taurus and Gemini.

Now that the Sun in Cancer, we can begin to look at how our identities relate to the rest of the world.

Where do we integrate, and where do we stand apart?

How do we nurture our relationships without losing any aspects of ourselves in the process?
This week gives you another nudge in asserting your own path within a world that wants everyone to be going in the same direction.

It’s a time to untangle your mind and heart from the illusions out there. It’s a time to work on the parts of yourself that have been conditioned to think, feel, or act in ways that are not true to you.

It’s a time to get clear about what you like and what you want, regardless of whether it fits into the conventional narratives out there.
What part of yourself are you willing to fight for?
What part of your identity are you ready to re-commit to?

There is a blend of fire and water in the sky right now that can allow you to give courage to your most sensitive wounds. There is support for mending the heart in a way that allows it to remain open, to reconnect to hope and tenderness no matter how confusing or unjust life can be.

The Princess of Cups reflects this, remind you to take time this week to fill up your own cup. To buoy yourself with a promise to make yourself happy, somehow, someway.

Mercury’s entry into Leo on Wednesday, June 26 can also bring an added boost of confidence and creativity into the air right now. It is all feeling very much like a “hear me roar” kind of week.

Let that pride shine through.

Until next time,

Welcoming the Sagittarius Full Moon and Cancer season

Today we welcome the Sagittarius Full Moon, a lunation that will bring a lot energy with it.

Sometimes people worry about full moons. There are the usual stereotypes and superstitions that the intensity of full moons must immediately lead to a negative experience, as though it’s more likely that an upset will occur.

But every lunation is different, just like every day in this world is different. Sometimes we can spot the divine timing when a significant event in our lives lines up with perfectly with the universe’s patterns, and sometimes the connections are harder to spot. And sometimes we are more influenced by a Full Moon than others.
I encourage you to try to enjoy today’s energy. This is a fiery Full Moon that asks you to pay attention to where you are expanding in your life.

You might realize that a certain journey is coming full circle for you now. Or you might hit on an important answer to a question or intention you’ve been mulling over since the Sagittarius New Moon that occurred December 6, 2018.

Whatever comes up for you today, try to give yourself a lot of space to let life unfold in this moment. Sagittarius is a big energy and it needs room to roam.

And tonight, at 10:29pm EST, the Moon trines inventive Uranus, bringing unexpected hits of inspiration or an urge to break free from old constraints.

For some people, today’s Full Moon will bring that extra bolt of courage to sever an old tie or cut themselves loose from something that is no longer feeding their creative spirits.

This week will continue to offer opportunities to let go and clear house of energetic bonds that don’t serve your soul anymore.
Wednesday, June 19 can be particularly potent when Mercury and Mars oppose transformative Pluto, providing the necessary tension to hone in on the exact course of action you need to take in order to create waves.

On Friday, June 21, the Sun enters Cancer, ushering us into a new season. The build-up to the Summer Solstice here in the northern hemisphere can feel quite intense, but equally exciting to the pull of the Full Moon.

Like the Two of Pentacles we see here, this is a week of taking steps towards a new direction, if you allow yourself to open to the possibilities that the universe is offering at this time.

If you’d like to connect with today’s Full Moon, here is a tarot spread to help with that:

1. What am I ready to break away from?
2. What kind of freedom can I create for myself?
3. What kind inspiration can I now embrace?
4. What next step can I take to create the change I want?

If you’re feeling the pull of this week’s energies and want to work through your life’s possibilities, I have availability for private readings and would love to help. Book an appointment here.

Until next time,

Do your head and heart align? This week’s astrology may push you to embrace your ideals (by Liz Worth)

Venus entered Gemini over the weekend on Saturday, June 8. The planet of love and desire is in the cerebral, communicative sign of the twins.

Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, is moving through emotional, intuitive Cancer right now.

Your focus or concentration may not be at their peak this month, but that’s okay. There’s something deeper at work here.

Take time this week, and next, to connect with other people. To get lost in conversation. Brainstorm. Dream. Outline your biggest visions and highest ideals, or dream up a creative answer or project to pave your way out of a rut.

Pull the answers you need straight from your heart, your gut, your soul. Be like the Four of Swords and take a break from the everyday. Seek out the people in your life who always get you thinking.

The people you can talk to for hours without missing a beat. The people who always have a great new idea for you, or who are always onto something new.

Seek out the writers, artists, do-ers, dreamers who inspire you the most. Get lost in their works. Listen to how they speak. Watch how they move – how do they transcend the everyday?

The energies of the week ahead encourage you to transcend the ordinary. To break a rule, or break your routine.

To listen to what your heart is really trying to teach you about why you’re feeling bored, resentful, or mistrusting of certain processes or plans. It not be that any of these things are wrong, but they are just not right for right now.

Pay attention as we near the weekend, too, when Mars and Saturn oppose each other and force you to ask yourself whether your head and heart and truly aligned.

Are you living in a way that is preventing your thoughts from being free to roam?

Is your heart hurting from an old story,
perhaps when someone told you that you couldn’t follow a dream, or
that you would be “wasting your time” putting your energy into the things that make you feel alive?

Are you being blocked by someone or something
that is keeping you from having the time, space, or
support to act upon your dearest intentions?

This week offers a chance to move
in a different direction.

Where will you go next?

Until next time,

Welcoming the Gemini New Moon and More (by Liz Worth)

What have you come into this world to say?

What have you come here to teach?

What message are you here to share?

We each have purpose in this world. Often, people come to me for readings wondering what their purpose is.

They are looking for one thing, one answer. But is purpose a singular experience?

We always have to be mindful that life is a mystery. We can theorize and philosophize on the journey of the soul and the meaning of life but really, the best we can do is speculate.

Faith and spirituality teach us to embrace the uncertainty that sits beyond that speculation.

We also have to be open to the idea that we have multiple purposes throughout a lifetime. It’s not like you just find it one day and voila: that’s it, the work of your life is done and there’s nothing left to figure out.
No, purpose may be ongoing, time-sensitive, and even relationship or location-specific.

Think about the people who are in your life right now. Maybe they are different from the people you surrounded yourself with ten years ago.

Maybe you have moved to several cities in your lifetime, or you plan to. Maybe you have had different careers, or have focused on different hobbies or projects that put you in touch with other people, or opened up new ideas for you.

Consider that each of those scenarios has supported your purpose somehow. Maybe you had to play a certain role in someone’s life. Maybe you inspired or taught someone something – or maybe your purpose was to be the student at the time.

Maybe you fulfilled your purpose in a certain place for a while, and then found yourself moving on once that purpose ran its course.

We may not always be conscious of how our purpose is playing out, and that can be an uncomfortable or even painful proposition for our egos.

The ego wants to feel wanted, needed, recognized. It wants to have the starring role in the script of your life, but sometimes someone else has the lead and your purpose is to be supporting cast.

You never know.

But what you can be sure of is that your voice – the things you’ve said, the things you’ve shared, the guidance or insight or advice you’ve given throughout the years has fulfilled some kind of purpose.

The Gemini New Moon arrived at 6:02am EST today. This New Moon brings us prime energy to become more intentional about how our voices are being used, channeled, and heard.

Gemini is a sacred communicator. It is a messenger, though that’s not to say it has the final word on what’s right or wrong with this world. No, Gemini is not about the black and white approach.
It is about listening as much as talking. Learning as much as teaching.

It is about striking that balance between student and mentor, and remembering that we walk both paths throughout our lives, often simultaneously.

Like the Hermit card that showed up for this week’s message, the Gemini New Moon reminds us that power is not always found in talking for the sake of it, but in finding value in reflection and introspection. The New Moon is always a good time to be on your own for a little while to allow this new lunar cycle’s energy to surface. Let it show you the way rather than forcing yourself to act upon it immediately.

Set an intention today to open to how you can best use your voice at this moment in time. If you find yourself in conversations, debates, or disagreements that you know are not conducive to your highest potential, allow today to be a turning point from which you can use your voice with better purpose.

If you’d like to connect with the Gemini New Moon through tarot, here is a spread to help:

1. What am I learning at this time?
2. What am I teaching at this time?
3. What am I overthinking at this time?
4. What am I becoming at this time?
