Does it feel like things are getting to you? This week offers some relief.

My new book, The Power of Tarot, is available now.
Get it now!
This week highlights a push and pull between inspiration and constraint, efficiency and possibility, obligation and freedom.

Don’t be disconcerted if things feel like they’re getting to you over the next few days.

Pay attention to the irritations. They are trying to show you where there’s room for change. They are trying to make you think about alternative outcomes, new solutions, and other pathways.

The most dangerous routes we can ever take are found in excuses.

Have you ever been in conversation with a friend or family member who always talks about how stuck, unhappy, or uncertain they are?

And no matter what advice they get, no matter how obvious the solutions may seem from the outside, they always come back with reasons to stay in the exact situation they claim to loathe:
“I’ll just wait for something to happen…”

“I can’t do anything about it until I do this, this, and this first…”

“I’ve tried that before and nothing changed…”

“I could try that, but what if…?”

The week ahead urges each of us to stop trying to fix whatever is going on in someone else’s life and focus on our own things.

To look at where the irritations sit in our schedules, processes, habits, and fixtures. To look at the areas we know we could do differently.

To look at the places in our lives where we make things harder than they have to be.

It also urges us not to feel the need to be so involved in other people’s stuff. Like the Five of Swords that came up for this week’s message, the days ahead suggest it’s time to go your own way.

Let’s all take all the great advice we’ve ever given to someone else and turn it on ourselves.

Listen for inspiration in the days ahead, because what uplifts you is part of the answer you’re looking for. It’s a hint of what could be possible if you cleared out some of the weeds that are tripping you up in the day-to-day.

Look for the blocks and distractions. Look for the things that unnecessarily distract you, or detract from your purpose.

Look at where you really want life to feel smoother, and then decide to make it so.

“I am paying attention.”

Until next time,

Liz xo
