About Gestalt
What distinguishes Gestalt psychotherapy from other approaches is in the way that we will work together. Each person has their own unique way of responding to inevitable challenges in life. With a focus on the present moment, we can explore more fully what arises within you in response to your own life. This can include your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Individuals present their own history, personal context, and unique experiences; and therefore the goals and approach of therapy will be individually tailored to suit you and are very much co-created. The Gestalt approach supports an open and creative exploration of some of the ‘stuck places’ you might face in a very present-centred way which can help to shed some light on any potential long-standing patterns. Gaining a deeper awareness of your internal processes may also allow for some freedom and movement towards new possibilities.

About Me
Gestalt is a door that opened the possibility for me to come into a more authentic way of being in the world and in my life. After completing a 5 year training program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, I am seeing clients for individual therapy under supervision. I am an insured member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT Member# 696).
Many of my therapy clients are seeking support around various challenges such as anxiety, grief, depression, endings, expectations, difficulty in relationships, and feelings of overwhelm, loneliness, being stuck, and in transition.
My approach to therapy is gentle but direct. I practice relationally and in a client-centred way. I believe that many of the challenges people wish to explore in therapy are the result of some discomfort that surfaces in their lives and might start to show up in their relationships with others. We can explore these things together within the therapeutic relationship, which is built over the course of some time. This kind of exploration is a process that takes courage, patience and commitment.
