About Me
Gestalt was the door that invited creativity and full authenticity as a way of being in the world and in my life. After completing a 5-year training program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, I see clients for individual and partner therapy under supervision. I am an insured member of the
Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT Member# 696), and a qualifying registered member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO Registration# 17469)
Many of the people I work with are seeking support for navigating various experiences in life such as transitions, anxiety, grief, depression, endings, expectations, challenges in relationships, feelings of overwhelm, loneliness, and stuckness are common.
My approach to therapy is gentle but direct. I practice embodied and relationally with a client-centred, co-creative focus. Some of the challenges people wish to explore in therapy are the result of some discomfort that surfaces in life and might start to show up in relationships with significant others. We can explore in a present-centred way, these experiences together within the therapeutic relationship, which is built over the course of some time. This kind of exploration is a process that takes time, courage, patience and commitment.

My Approach
What distinguishes Gestalt psychotherapy from other approaches is in the way that we work together. Each person has a unique way of responding to inevitable challenges in life. With a focus on the present moment, we can explore more fully what arises in response to your own life. This includes your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Each person brings with them in each moment an expression in response to their own personal history, context, and unique experiences. The goals and approach of therapy are individually tailored to suit you, perhaps even challenge you, and are very much co-created. My approach will support an open and creative exploration of some of the ‘stuck places’ you might face in a very present-centred way which can help to shed some light on any potential long-standing patterns. Gaining a deeper awareness of your internal process and patterns may allow for some freedom and movement towards new possibilities.
