Important topics have been emerging as a result of the response to COVID-19. The Inner Arts Collective community has created this complementary "How We Heal" discussion series, as well as the online platform - The Inner Arts Hive - to spark conversation from the perspectives of a range of wellness experts on how to understand, move through and transform some of the difficult feelings we are experiencing.

Over the last year, we have explored a range of topics such as: fear; anger; anxiety and depression; grief and loss; resilience (full list below). Moving forward, we will be exploring topics such as receiving, loss, thankfulness, presence, cultivating faith and trust, and more.

We invite you to join us at our upcoming panel and on the Inner Arts Hive to deepen the conversations and shape the future together.

Creating a State of Thankfulness

Having an "attitude of gratitude" brings huge benefits for the body, mind, heart, spirit, and community. Who doesn't want to strengthen their immune system, improve their sleep, connect more deeply and empathically with others, and have more satisfaction and fulfillment in our careers?

Being in a state of thankfulness does not come naturally - it requires self-care and vigilance to reframe our adversities and negative mindsets with constant practices of humility, forgiveness, interdependence, and mindfulness (to name a few).

In this panel, Chris Dubb, Michele Meehan and Deborah Brodey share how to create more awareness about what thankfulness is, what barriers tend to get in the way, and how to overcome those challenges with specific cultivations so you can reap the rewards.
About Your Panelists

Chris Dubb - I am an Emotional Intuitive Healer, Kundalini Yogi, Ceremony Facilitator & Social Worker, devoted to cultivating and holding space for you to become more aware of your mental blocks and repressed emotions, which allows this energy to transform into a higher understanding of one’s self and your interconnectedness to all of nature. The result is a high degree of self love which leads to a letting go of past pain, hurt and trauma. Individuals working with me experience increased energy flow and creativity, zest for life, calmed nervous system, amplified self worth and deeper and more meaningful relationships.
Michele Meehan - As both a Psychotherapist and Shamanic Practitioner, my work involves helping people grow into their authentic self in body, mind, heart and spirit; finding and following that inner blueprint of our life’s purpose that comes through our ancestry, our biographical experiences, the archetypal energies that speak through us, and our connections to helping spirits that guide and inspire our evolution.

Deborah Brodey - I am a Transformation Guide, Yoga Teacher (20 years), Vocal Sound Healer & Ceremonial Facilitator. I began her career on frontline working in social agencies in Toronto and then later as a Yoga teacher I created wellness programs for marginalized women and people living with addictions. Over the last several years I created and developed the Radical Self Nourishment program which focuses on holistic Self Care for Changemakers & healers and helping professionals so that they can be nourished as they nourish others.
