Nurture Your Resilience By Befriending Your Nervous System
At the core of my work is the desire for you to foster curiosity about yourself, to experience life unfettered by the residual effects of trauma. We do this by gently deactivating your overwhelmed nervous system so that you can enjoy greater resilience and vitality.
The human body is wired to find balance within itself. It undergoes an ongoing ebb and flow throughout each day, moments of activation and letting go that are controlled by the autonomic nervous system. When this cycle follows its natural rhythm, even highly charged situations can be managed.
When the cycle is disrupted or when stressors become chronic, the nervous system can’t completely release them, resulting in trauma becoming trapped in the body. The nervous system becomes dysregulated. You end up in a pattern of over-activation or shutting down.
I curate a unique combination of body-oriented techniques to help you heal trauma and other stress disorders, soothe your nervous system and develop greater resilience. The methods I draw upon include neuroscience, stress physiology, psychology, touch therapies and ancient healing practices.
