About Ashtyn
Ashtyn (they/them) is a Registered Psychotherapist & Art Therapist. Their practice is supported by several years of experience supporting individuals recovering from the impacts of trauma, and folks belonging to the LGBTQ community. Their work is grounded in a trauma-informed, collaborative, intersectional, strengths based, holistic approach.
Ashtyn works with adults & youth (11+), incorporating therapeutic modalities that support the body & mind, including: Art Therapy, IFS/Parts Work, Attachment Based Therapy, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (body based therapy) & Mindfulness. Ashtyn applies a flexible client centred approach in their work with individuals, which enables them to meet each person where they are at and respond to their unique needs.

Helping individuals manage/process the impacts of trauma, PTSD/CPTSD, Chronic Illness/Pain, supporting people a part of the LGBTQIA+ community & Neurodivergent folks (ADHD/ASD).Ashtyn also supports individuals experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Grief/loss, Chronic Fatigue & Burnout, Stress & Anger Management, Addiction, Self-harm, Perfectionism, Creative Blocks, Relationship Issues, & Life Transitions.
In the therapy sessions with Ashtyn there is a balance between developing coping skills to utilize in your daily life, such as self-regulation, boundary setting, self-compassion, etc., as well as space for self-exploration to help better understand and organize your past and current life experiences. Making room for embodied practice and integration in sessions along with verbal process is a main focus in their therapy work. This may include creative practices like art making, poetry, writing, somatic or mindfulness exercises, which clients can use outside of the session for further growth as well. Ashtyn believes it is important to work collaboratively, and at a pace that does not overwhelm the nervous system, and they often ask for feedback so they can make necessary adjustments along the way.

Rate: $160 for 1hr session (limited sliding scale spots available)
Availability: In person sessions Wednesday & Thursday. Virtual sessions are available Monday through Friday.

Clinical Supervision and Consultation
As a clinical supervisor, they are passionate about supporting new practitioners to grow their therapeutic skills and their confidence. As well as supporting therapists who are seeking to incorporate different therapy modalities in their practice. Their supervision style is collaborative and creative, aiming to strike a balance between clinical and experiential learning. Providing safety for self-reflection for the human experiences that comes up in the work as a therapist is also a focus on the supervision support they offer.
Ashtyn is Registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and meets all of the standards set out by CRPO to provide clinical supervision to other therapists: https://www.crpo.ca/supervision/#supervision_requirements Ashtyn is also a Registered Member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and can supervise art therapy students and other art therapists.

Offerings:
- Individual Supervision (1hr) $150
- Dyadic Supervision (1hr) $80 per person
- Group Supervision (2 hrs) $75 per person (6 people max per group)
